Avex Video Converter Platinum is an application that lets you convert video from AVI, DivX/Xvid, MPEG, Tivo, WMV, RM, MOV to AVI, Xvid/Divx, WMV, MPEG, MP4 (H.264 or MPEG) files compatible with Pocket PC, Palm, iPod, PSP, Mobile Phone, Zune players.
This program lets you configure size, bit rate, frame rate, sampling, etc. or select a profile for the most commonly used devices (iPod, Mobile 3GP, PSP, etc.), it also lets you choose aspect ratio, audio volume, and video brightness.
You can set start point and duration in seconds to convert only a segment of the input video, get a preview of the clip and choose to automatically shutdown your computer after a job is done. It is also possible to process batches of simultaneous files with the built in batch tool (with limited features), and transfer videos to your PSP device with the PSP video transfer tool.
Avex Video Converter Platinum is a good option if you want to convert videos from your hard drive and play them on different portable devices but don't need many advanced features (especially editing tools like crop screen or effects).
